Terms of Service

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Who we are

Folio (“Folio,” “we,” “us”) is an independently operated service, not a registered company. These Terms are a personal undertaking by the individual who operates Folio. You can reach us at aeimsjo000@gmail.com.

2. The service

Folio generates a complete draft book from a short description you provide, using AI language models. You choose a length, genre, and style, and Folio drafts the chapters. Once a book finishes generating, you can review it and pay a one-time price to unlock the downloadable PDF and text files.

3. Accounts

You must sign in with a Google account to generate and keep books. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to the email address you sign in with.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases and handles applicable sales tax/VAT. Prices are shown in USD before you pay. Each purchase unlocks one generated book. Folio does not store your card details. See our Refund Policy for when refunds apply.

5. AI-generated content

Books are drafted by AI models based on your prompt. We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or fitness for any particular purpose of generated content, especially for non-fiction topics. Generated text may resemble other works by coincidence; you are responsible for reviewing content before relying on or distributing it, including checking it meets any requirements of a platform you publish it to.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use Folio to generate content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or is intended to harass, defame, or deceive. We may refuse or remove content, and suspend accounts, that violate this.

7. Ownership of your books

You own the rights to the specific text generated for you upon successful payment, to the extent permitted by law, and can use it however you like. This is granted on an as-is basis without any warranty described above.

8. Limitation of liability

Folio is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the book giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Folio at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
