1. What we collect
When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. When you generate a book, we store the idea/prompt you submit and the resulting chapters. When you pay, our payment processor handles your card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers.
2. How we use it
We use this data to operate the service: to generate your books, keep them attached to your account so you can return to them later, process payments, and respond if you contact us for support.
3. Third parties we rely on
- Google — for sign-in (OAuth).
- Anthropic— the prompt you submit is sent to Anthropic’s API to draft the book text.
- Paddle — processes payments as Merchant of Record and handles related tax compliance.
We don’t sell your data. It’s shared with the providers above only as needed to run the service.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and book data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and books at any time by emailing us.
5. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, export, or delete your data at any time by emailing aeimsjo000@gmail.com.
7. Children
Folio isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
